South Alabama Snow

I know....it's not time for another post...I did one yesterday! But you can't have this much snow in South Alabama and wait very long to talk about it. We had a GREAT time building our snowman and snowball fighting!

February

Well, here it is February and time for an update. The Sowards home has been a busy place. Conner and Brady have both been playing basketball and Hubble and Joy have been coaching. WOW! We have one game each left to finish the season. We are all ready for a "basketball break."

Another bit of information worth mentioning is that Brady now has glasses. He started telling us a few weeks before Christmas that he couldn't see the scores on TV when we were watching football. So...off to Dr. Driver we went and the rest is history! Brady actually got his glasses last week (from Walmart....$42!!!) and he loves them. He really only takes them off to sleep and shower. And I might add, he looks pretty cute in them too.

Some not so good news from the month of February: my car was broken into and my purse stolen last week. We were at Andalusia Middle School for one of Conner's games. When we went to the car to leave, we found the window busted out and my purse and all of its contents were gone. Anyway, nothing has been found, returned, etc. but I must admit I did learn a good lesson: Do NOT leave your purse in the car!!!!

Since my last post, Conner participated in the AES spelling bee as you'll see in the pictures. And although he didn't win, he did an awesome job, staying in until the 5th round. Also, both boys received All A awards and reading awards at the Nine Weeks Honors Assemblies. Brady also received the Good Citizenship Award for his class. Way to go Sowards Boys!!
